Grace

She ages

Gracefully

But purposefully

She fades from view

As her beauty

Loses color

It’s not fair that the

Dew of youth

Draws attraction

Simply for being what it can only be

It is in wisdom

And earned wonder

That a woman must be be seen

Men who do not understand this

Will always be searching

And mistaking attraction

For desire

For your soul is drawn to depth

Not that youth can not have this

But not to the extent of a life fully lived

Oh you wayward men

You will toss and turn

Until your dying day

Seeing flashes of the woman

You should have known

Instead chasing an elusive

Sense of pride

That used you up

As you slowly

And complacently

Faded into oblivion
