Fair

Then one day they say their sibling’s name

“Y”s for “L”s

You see a little person

Trying to help

Giving of themselves

The smallest of things

But it’s more than a fair trade

And its sacrifice is great

As they struggle to reach

Not just a hand out

But to graciously give

Reminding us how we use to live

When we felt others wrongs

We felt their tears on our cheeks

Hardened by time

And being ignored

But what a life we could live

If we gave a little more
